John started out in the pumping game 50 years ago and in 1990 he established Powderly’s Pumping & Irrigation.

What started out as John working for his brother Kevin at Cash Powerhouse - Lighting Retail and Wholesale Electrical in 1983 soon snowballed into a business opportunity for the keen businessman.

In the early days of Powderly’s Pumping & Irrigation the business operated with three staff, including John himself. John has since directed Powderly’s into the successful business it is today, boasting 17 staff members.

Graeme joined the team in August of 1990 and has racked up 28 years with the business.

Second in charge and a shareholder in the business Graeme leads in quoting and as a technical specialist. 

Entirely dedicated to his job up until a recent announcement of a long-term holiday in 2019, Graeme could sell ice to an Eskimo. The talented salesman boasts great people skills and unbelievable knowledge on irrigation and pumps. 

Graeme is experienced in all aspects of the water game and has had a paramount impact on the company.

Macca ensures customers are given the appropriate direction when dealing with enquiries and together with Michael Orr has three decades of experience within the industry.

Jack Rankin is our specialist on garden sprinkler and irrigation systems but is also accomplished with pumps and all other irrigation work.

Touty specialises in installation, repairs and maintenance and is more often than not found out in the field.

Touty is the solar king, extremely good in all the work he does including solar pumps, bore pumps and stock water schemes.

Matt specialises in installation, repairs and maintenance and is more often than not found out in the field. Matt has been part of the team for 11 years during which time he has maintained a reputable standard of service. Exceptionally efficient in his line of work, Matt is switched on with all elements of the job. 

Jennie has been with Powderly`s for around 12 years and is responsible for the complete running of the office itself. Assisted by Danielle Bysterveld the duo ensure all the books are up to scratch and are knowledgeable in all aspects of running the business.

Described as a real asset to the team, Jennie is particularly efficient in her work.

One of the newest members to the team, young Jake has taken on the role of workshop repairs and infield repairs. Jake is a qualified diesel mechanic whose skill set is valued in pump and irrigation repairs and maintenance.

Michael ensures customers are given the appropriate direction when dealing with enquiries and together with Ian Mackenzie has three decades of experience within the industry.

The first point of contact for those who walk through the door, Eric ensures customers are given the appropriate direction when dealing with enquiries. Eric has a long history with plumbing equipment sales and customer service, and is here to help you with all of your enquiries.

Peter has 18 years of experience across the installation, repair and maintenance of irrigation systems.

He has been a valued member of the Powderly's team for the last 13 years.
